Real Madrid preparing mammoth bid to sign back Theo

AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez is wanted by Real Madrid to replace Marcelo. Los Blancos are preparing a big bid for their former player.

In the summer of 2019, Paolo Maldini traveled to Ibiza to convince Theo Hernandez to reject more lucrative offers from Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen and join AC Milan instead. Maldini succeeded and the flamboyant left-back was without a doubt the Rossoneri’s best signing last season.

In his first year at San Siro, Theo Hernandez scored seven goals and assisted five in 36 appearances across all competitions. Great numbers for the 23-year-old defender with Real Madrid admitting that his early departure from Santiago Bernabeu may have been a mistake. A regret that Los Blancos are apparently trying to fix.

Real Madrid did not spend like usual this summer because president Florentino Perez is planning to make huge investments next year. The Spanish giants want to improve their squad and Theo is one of the top targets along with PSG’s Mbappe.

Real Madrid are looking for a long-term successor for Marcelo. The Brazilian is expected to leave at the end of the season and the Merengues need a replacement. Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has asked the management to bring back Theo as Marcelo’s heir.

More than one year ago, AC Milan spent 20 million euros of sign Hernandez from Real Madrid but now his price tag has increased to around 60 million. According to reports from Spain, Real Madrid are considering a bid of 50 million euros to convince the Rossoneri to sell their prized gem. A meeting scheduled to discuss the future of Brahim Diaz seems like the perfect opportunity to talk about much more than that.
